EVENT RECAP | OTR Love Denim Drive
It has been a busy February here at Over the Rainbow and while the month isn’t quite over, thoughts of Spring are in the air. We can’t get too ahead of ourselves; the weather is proving to be quite persistent. While we’re close to finishing our Spring Lookbook, we would love to take this time to recap this great month we had at our store.
We were proud to be open on Family Day for all our loyal customers! Whether families were strolling through Yorkville or looking for a group shopping experience, we were happy to encounter everyone who came in to spend some time with us. We had lots to offer, including some of our new Spring items as well as our 70% off merchandise, which is still available today!
February also marked our 2nd annual clothing drive with the United Way, this year entitled the “Love Denim Drive”. We want to take this time to thank everybody who participated in this year’s drive. The drive ended on February 16 and we were able to donate 249 used pairs of jeans to the United Way. Those jeans went to the less fortunate and we couldn’t be happier with everyone’s involvement. We can’t wait to see if we can beat that number next year!
Over the Rainbow was privileged enough to be part of two television appearances with our friends at City TV. The store was featured on an episode of Breakfast Television where our very own Daniel Carman spoke about the Love Denim Drive to a wide-scale audience. He also spoke about denim trends for the new year. Our staff was used to model our jeans and they couldn’t have done a better job. We are currently putting the finishing touches on ourSpring 2014 Lookbook! Itwill be showcase some of the best styles and trends for the upcoming Spring season as well as outlining what brands (old and new) we have in store. Stay tuned to our channels to find out when the lookbook will be ready!
