"Carman travelled Europe for a couple of years back in his early twenties after completing university and worked as a cab driver when he arrived home. He did so, he says, in order to “earn a living and pay the rent”. This might seem like an insignificant piece of the Over the Rainbow story if it weren’t for the fact that it was while driving his cab when he met Peter Jackman, an alterationist, with whom he would become friends and business partners. Together they ran a store that did alterations before it began selling ladieswear with fashion denim as the central product."
